16-0023 NPFD responds for a possible Vehicle Fire on the NYS Thruway

01-16-16. New Paltz Fire Department responded to the New York State Thruway: 76.8 Southbound for a possible vehicle fire.  Investigation led to a mechanical failure in the engine compartment that caused the ignition of engine oil.  Fire was extinguished upon fire department arrival.  Time: 09:29 Resources: C43-1, C43-2, E43-11
